IT’S TIME FOR

GOALS MATTER

For women in business, direction and purpose are essential. Many times, we hear about women who are just clocking in and clocking out, only to pay the bills. The difference between women who manage their money, and women who let their money manage them? It's goals. It's direction. It's knowing where you want your bank account to be at the end of the week, month, and year.

Start from the end. When you retire, what title do you envision? Now consider if the work to get you there will be meaningful. Will you feel fulfillment in the work it will take to get you there?

Let's not get confused. Work is work. It is not going to be sunshine and roses all day. But when you wrap up your day and head home, you should feel like you accomplished something; that you were useful in some way that day because of the work you have done.

Having a drive and direction allows you to take the next step and focus on your money. Once you have set clear goals for your career, you can focus all your effort on your finances. Knowing where your money is going to come from (what you do for your career) is the first crucial step. It allows you to determine your earning potential. Once you know how much, you need to jive your lifestyle with your income.

Income and lifestyle are the two elements that MUST coexist peacefully. There's really only one way to work with them both. If you don't like the way one is going, you must adjust the other so they can meet in the middle; the two should be balanced evenly.
